Exploring our Impact

In Their Own Words

  • "Before the training I felt unsure talking about money with young people. Now I feel confident and have practical tools I can use straight away." – Training participant

  • "The Toolkit filled a real gap. The activities are practical, engaging and easy to adapt for my group." – Youthreach Instructor

  • "The training was clear, accessible and focused on social good. It was one of the most relevant and useful sessions I have attended." – Youth Worker

Our Impact

Empowering Youth Through Financial Resilience has strengthened the capacity of youth workers and Youthreach instructors to support young people in building financial confidence and independence.

Direct Reach

  • 61 youth workers trained across youth services nationwide

  • 15 Youthreach instructors trained across six centres

  • Together, these practitioners work with an estimated more than 5,000 young people each year

Ripple Effect

The impact goes beyond those directly trained. By embedding financial resilience into daily practice, youth workers and instructors are sharing tools and approaches with:

  • Colleagues in youth organisations and Youthreach centres

  • Families of young people, who benefit from healthier money management

  • Peers and communities, as young people share their learning and habits with friends and networks

Sustainable Change

The project ensures lasting benefits by:

  • Embedding financial resilience into everyday youth work and classroom practice

  • Providing a flexible toolkit and workshops that can be adapted for different needs and literacy levels

  • Creating resources that remain available to practitioners long after training

Through this work, financial education is becoming a normal and trusted part of how young people are supported in Ireland, laying the foundation for long-term stability, confidence and resilience.
